A lovely property. I particularly appreciated the swimming pool area - a lovely, decent sized pool, enough sun-loungers and parasols for all who wanted them, great views over the sea, palm and banana trees and lovely tropical flowers near the pool etc. The "sun deck" on the top floor with a variety of types of seating and a bar area was also great. Lovely views from the breakfast room / terrace over the pool and sea too. My room and all the communal areas were nicely decorated too. Breakfast was good quality and a huge choice for those who can eat a lot for breakfast! Some of the staff, notably Vitor at reception and the senior bar guy in the evenings were particularly helpful, kind and friendly - especially important when you're travelling solo. Note: the hotel is not in central Funchal but about 45 mins walk from the centre however the walk is pleasant, plus there are two public buses which pass in front of the hotel going into central Funchal (& also in the other direction to Camara de Lobos). Bolt and Uber are also both available and are much more cost effective than, e.g. in the UK.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my friend. Everything exceeded our expectations. The breakfast each morning was tasty and offered a great variety of options. The staff were kind and always made us feel welcome. The hotel’s shared spaces were stylish and clean, and the ocean view was simply breathtaking. One of our favorite spots was the terrace – perfect for enjoying a drink from the hotel bar. The pools were excellent as well, ideal for both relaxing and swimming. Our room was cozy and nicely decorated, and we really appreciated the small snacks left after housekeeping. The location was very convenient, with easy and quick access from the airport by bus. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hotel near the sea... it's very big with different things to do there .. it has a few restaurants, a great outdoor swimming pool, great views from the main restaurant where I had my breakfast.. you could see the sunrise and the sea.. it's really really nice. Rooms were big and clean , bathroom was great as well. Room service was top notch , each day there were leaving extra snacks/fruits in my room, they were very attentive, the hotel is a bit expensive but it's worth it, you can't go wrong with it.

The hotel is great, clean and big rooms, very nice view of Atlantic Ocean. The food was very good, also the live music from 8-10pm was excelent. I love the spa and the welcoming massage and drink! The staff on the reception was very helpful with all we asked. I love that the hotel management is thinking on small details that make the difference between them and other locations: water and Madeira wine, cookies, welcome drink and massage, live music. Thank you for a great experience 🥳

The room was very good, good air-conditioning and a nice balcony to sit outside. Breakfast was plentiful with a great variety of choice. Options of sitting outdoors with lovely views. Some staff were lovely and helpful, but not all. Nice reception area with wonderful floral displays. Very clean overall. Little treats in the evening.
